When I saw in a trailer how the dogs grab with the husaks, I realized – here it is, the game of the year! But something went wrong. The preparation of the Steam version.

The game is declared for the Windows platform.

There is some funny nuance, which consists in the fact that the Shepherd’s Crossing 2 is designed for Nintendo DS and went already in 2010. And I played the first part on Steam in 2023.

Our hero arrives at the farm. A scientist goose tells what’s what. NPCs come to visit, chatting.

The game process is a farm simulator, from ancient times.

The hero arrived at a small location. We have a small rebuilding corral for animals, several trees and randomly scattered thickets of all kinds of grass.

The territory has several points of interest with which you can interact:

– House. In fact, he plays the role of the main menu and encyclopedia. Here we persist, read what we interpreted with NPC.

– Shop. To be honest, I did not get it at first how it works. But then I realized that there is a barter exchange of some resources for others on rather unwitting chains.

– A corral with dogs. In theory, here we grow our army. But, de facto building does not function or works with an error.

From time to time, or maybe by Quickbetuk.co.uk the triggers of promotion in the intricacies of the game (the goose every now and then gives the assignments to collect and change something), NPCs come to the farm and bring new tools that expand our functionality. Pick a pot and you can collect berries, you can remove the interfering grass with a scythe and so on.

And it seems – here she is an idyll. All this lasts until exactly the moment when some hamsters attack the farm. By that time, I already had a goose 4, and a couple of similar hamsters were found. A good fight was looking forward to. But, alas, my geese did not do anything, apparently we needed combat geese from a corral for dogs, but he, as we recall, does not work.

In fact, after the attack little has changed. Well, the enemy hamsters gnawed a little seeds. Duc, they were lying on the floor by that time just a mountain, not very sorry.

We smoothly approach the next part of the story.

A lot about sad

To begin with, the game has an incomprehensible and inconvenient management. It does not set on the fly intuitively. Misskliki are provided.

The Czech with control is superimposed on the almost crazy chaos of our farm and multiplies it. Everything is awkwardly lying around. Sometimes you can’t go wherever you want. You can easily apply the subject not to what you wanted and, accordingly, get not pleasing to the result. For example, valuable sheaves of grass for hamsters. One incorrect key press and you get the worthless bundles of wheat from this sheaf.

The problem was the balance set by the game. We are given mountains of sufficiently worthless resources. Yes, they can be thrown into a special tank with garbage, but the game is so arranged that there is no understanding – what will be needed in the next second. As a result, we have mountains of all rubbish, and even the matter is complicated by the fact that one trash like two drops of water looks like another, go figure it out – where what.

The main disappointment is that there are no stated goose fights with dogs. One of the NPC comes, gives us a dog figurine and that’s it. This is the finish. At first I thought that with its help it was necessary to call your first pet. But no. Dog’s corral does not accept such an offering.

The game breaks completely completely if you crawl in the image settings and set normal. By default, the launch occurs in a small window. It turns out to overcome, but it is clear that the vidok is not the same.

The last nail in the coffin cover was that the preservation was broken, which contained almost a year of playing time. Naturally did not.

Consider the pros and cons of the game, summarize the results.

+ Primitive, but acceptable graphics.

+ Good musical and sound accompaniment.

What can be both a plus and a minus:

± the wise system of farming based on barter and incomprehensible advancement in possibilities.

– Critical bug with broken preservations.

– full freezing of the game when setting normal graphics settings.

– There are no fights of geese and dogs, or they are too incomprehensibly arranged.

– overproduction of useless pieces. Maybe they are not useless? There are no explanations.

– The randomness of how everything is lying on the floor. In the mountains of rubbish, it is difficult to choose something to choose or do it purposefully.

– There is no Russian language text. The required level of English knowledge is somewhere between the average and low.

Remaster from ancient times did not turn out very. With a common interesting idea, the implementation came out of unsatisfactory quality. Whether they will fix it? I have no idea.
