The author of the Neocerrol masterpiece, in his own words, was inspired by the composition of The Crystal Method: “The company’s management asked me to come up with a new original project. I spent several weeks to study various ideas, but I could not find a really worthwhile option. In the end, I spat on everything, got behind the wheel of my car and went to drive along the highway at a frantic speed, because the only way I can really focus. During the trip, I listened to the CRISTAL METHOD CD and in one of the compositions I heard the word “miracle”. At the same moment, I began to mentally build an associative series: “A miracle, a country of miracles, Alice …” And the next moment I decided that we would certainly create a gloomy game about Alice.”
McGi immediately wished to chop off all the ends with the original story, announcing that the work of Lewis Carroll only inspired him to create a new Alice, and that the writer’s copyright would not be violated. Thus, only the names of the characters and some locations remained from the original book, and everything else (delightfully pressing the psyche, crazy dialogues and the story of Alice itself) – the result of Amariken McGoy and his team. Behind the dear heart, the image of Alice, by the way, is a low bow to an artist named Norm: these are his creations formed the basis of the images of the characters of the game.

Of course, some features of Alice ordinary remained very well casino in the deadly crumb of McG -. This is a blue dress with a apron, reminiscence to Disney, which makes Alice even more terrible. From the brainchild of McGi, it blows such a hopelessness of horror of growing up that you begin to involuntarily admire: it was necessary to create this! And one could think of it!

The damaged roof of the protagonist gives bonuses to intelligence, makes the skin pale, and the image – sophisticated, and, in principle, promises a lot of interesting adventures.
Let’s look at the faces of the most famous Alice: Alice-Carroll, Alice-Disney, Alice-Makgi and Alisa-Berton. Interesting, but only the first Alice turned out to be unsuccessful – she was not understood at all or accepted. Each of these girls contains a certain indicator of the dreamer of each era, and the world of the fairy tale thereby reflects the culture of that generation, so Alice turns out to be very different. This hypothesis can be easily proven on the example of the last part of Alice: Madness Returns. Do not catch the light coating of Bertonism and the love of a modern player for a certain “candlestick” in the schedule of games in the style of fantasy?

So, what was required to create an arthouse masterpiece of video games of the beginning of this century?
